This 3 mm infrared receiver is a Pb free, high speed and high sensitivity with small junction capacitance NPN silicon phototransistor that can be used in infrared sensing applications such as automatic door sensor, obstacle sensor, distance sensor and more. The black epoxy makes the device sensitive for infrared radiation, while blocking the interference from visible light.
