Placă de Expansiune pentru Utilizarea Acumulator LiPo pentru Onion Omega

The above image shows the power dock for Onion Omega2 / Omega2 +. This is an expansion card that offers the possibility of using LiPo batteries to safely feed the Omega development board. In addition to the 3.3V step-down switching source, the card also contains a LiPo battery charging circuit. 

Also, the dock also allows the 5V power supply with the internal regulator that lowers the voltage to 3.3V. The logic level of the pins is 3.3V and does not tolerate 5V.

The main components of the dock:

• Expansion header for easy access to pins;
• MicroUSB connector for charging  (not for communication) ;
• USB connector that connects to the Onion Omega USB bus;
• RESET button / power switch;
• LEDs indicating the battery level;
• Battery connector;
• Mounting holes.

USB external memory

The expansion board allows external memory storage to be connected to the USB port for extra storage. The operating system is Linux-based, so the default installation location for the file system is in / tmp / mounts.

Pin mapping in the expansion header

This expansion dock is compatible with all Onion expansion boards for Omega2 / Omega2 + and offers a very high degree of modularity, allowing to connect multiple plates in a stack.
