The light sensor module is equipped with a NPN TEMT6000 phototransistor. It is very small and of high performance. It is adapted to the responsiveness of the human eye.

The phototransistor, being of good quality and small size, is often used in laptops, phones or other display devices to adjust the brightness according to ambient light.

The module can be used in your projects where you want to detect brightness. For example, along with an Arduino plaque, you can control your house lights according to ambient light.

Instructions for use:

1. Feed the module with a steady voltage between 3.3 V and 5 V.

2. Connect the module to a development board.

The output of the module is analog, so you need to connect the  OUT  pin to an analog pin, such as pin  A0.

For reading the measured data, you must use the analogRead command  (A0); . Return value is a non-dimensional value.
