Description

These capacitors are frequently used for lower frequency filtering, DC blocking, RC timing and similar applications where you need a fair amount of capacitance and want better stability than an electrolytic capacitor will provide. They are polarized with the positive lead denoted by a stripe.

These tantalum capacitors are rated at 16VDC when used in high impedance circuits. When using any tantalum capacitor in low impedance circuits such as for power supply filtering, the working voltage must be derated by 25-50%.
