This is a 5 mm infrared LED with a wavelength of 940 nm suitable for transmitting infrared radiation. It is widely used for a remote control that emits infrared radiation.

It has high radiant intensity, low voltage, and high reliability. It can be used in creating line sensors or the obstacle with a phototransistor.
