APDS-9930 Gesture Sensor

Overview

This APDS-9930 gesture sensor provides ambient light sensor and proximity sensor integrated into a small module. It provides I2C interface-compatible Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) and proximity sensor in one 8-pin package. The ALS uses a dual photodiode to approximate illumination of 0.01 lux.

The proximity sensor is capable of detecting objects at a distance of up to 100 mm. It works perfectly both in sunlight and in dark rooms. It has micro-optic lenses to provide efficient transmission and reception of infrared energy.
