Overview

The electret microphone is useful in your electronics projects where you want to detect sound. Its operation is very simple and you only need a capacitor and a resistor to use it. An example of use in which an LED lights up depending on the volume of music can be found here . For this project, you need an LM386 amplifier and an Arduino development board.
