Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ PoE HAT

Description

This module is a great addition to the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ accesories, as it allows users to connect through Ethernet while also powering the development board from the Ethernet connector. Note! For this to work, your network should support PoE(Power over Ethernet).

The package contains:

• Raspberry Pi PoE HAT
• Mechanical spacers

Other needed parts:

• Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+
• Ethernet cable
• PoE equipped network

Connecting the PoE HAT:

• Attach the supplied spacers to the four corners of the board
• Connect the PoE HAT to the two pin headers on the Raspberry Pi(40 and 4 pin headers)
• Once the board is connected you can power the Pi through the network connector

Disconnecting the PoE HAT:

• Pull evenly, so all the pins detach at the same time. DO NOT pull from only one side to disconnect it.

There are NO modifications to be made to the Raspberry Pi board for this product to work. Ensure that your raspberry pi software is up to date for all the functionality to be available.

The PoE HAT comes with a small fan, that ensures the cooling of the board. Altough in most cases it's not needed, it does the job when the Pi is put in a small enclosure.
