DigiAMP+

Description

The latest revision of the DigiAmp+ has pre-programmed EEPROM and exposes the full RASPBERRY PI GPO header. 

The DigiAmp+ uses the Texas Instruments TAS5756M PowerDAC to deliver direct connection to passive stereo speakers at up to 2x35 W with variable output. The DigiAmp+ must be powered from an external power supply through the 5.5mmx2.5mm barred connector and the power source must be between 12 and 24 VDC. The DigiAmp+ will provide full power to the Raspberry Pi board, 5.1 V at 2.5 A.

DO NOT APPLY POWER TO THE RASPBERRY PI'S OWN POWER INPUT WHEN USING THE DIGIAMP+.

The amplifier is by default muted at power on (mute LED lit). The mute state/LED is under software control (Raspberry Pi GPIO22).
