This is a USB to serial converter, based on CH9102X, which can be used to connect microcontroller to your laptop. It can work with 3.3 V or 5 V power supply to convert serial interface to USB and vice versa.

This module is a highly-integrated device that provides simple solutions to update your serial designs to USB connectivity using a minimum of components. It can work with wide range of baud rates.
